Parts of a Lesson Activity
 

The main lesson categories are closure, introduction, summative evaluation, and delivery.

Following are the activities for each of these area:

ask questions that will examined during the lesson
ask yourself the question "Is learning taking place?"
assess the students on information they already know
deliver the main activities of lesson
give homework assignment

monitor student progress during the lesson
perform a demonstration
pose a problem that will be explored during the lesson
provide an overview of the day's lesson
provide smooth transitions
relate past information to future information
relate this lesson's information to future information
review information from a prior lesson
state the goals or objectives of the lesson
summarize important information (goals)
use "motivators" to gain student interest
use advance organizers
utilize 2 or more teaching techniques (variety)
