Name: David Fine Date: 2006-08-10 00:00:00 Email: dfine@bloomu.edu Comments: I search with Google. Perhaps that makes me a crowd follower, but I have been called worse. Google always seems to find the best sites, and I feel comfortable with its format. If I do not receive the information I want, I usually specify my search terms. I also like to search for images with Google, and Google Scholar makes me happy. Name: Joshua Watkins Date: 2006-08-09 00:00:00 Email: jwatkins@bloomu.edu Comments: I mainly use Google - google.com. If I don't get the information that I wanted in the first search, I will modify the search and use the advanced search options. I agree with others that have stated about the images that google.com has to offer! Name: Rebecca Martin Date: 2006-08-08 00:00:00 Email: rmarti2@bloomu.edu Comments: I use http://www.google.com. When I was younger I tried other engines, but Google always provided me with the best, no-nonsense results. If I don't, on the first search, find the exact information for which I look, I generally either place quotation marks around key words or reword my search. Name: Deanna Pavlik Date: 2006-08-07 00:00:00 Email: wjpavlik@epix.net Comments: google.com is my favorite search engine. If I have trouble with the search I try to be more specific with my portion of the information. If that doesn't work, I sometimes use ask.com. Name: Caryn Lutz Date: 2006-08-03 00:00:00 Email: carynsings@hotmail.com Comments: My favorite search engine is goole. • What is your favorite search engine?
Yahoo because I am comfortable with the format.
• What do you do if you don't get the necessary information on the first search?
If I do not specifically find what information I am looking for I either modify my word searching terms or I use another search engine like Google or Ask Jeeves.
• What are your favorite features of this search engine?
I like the fact that I have a search engine that provides me with reliable sources and if I have trouble finding exactly what I am looking for, it has other key terms that could be useful in my search.
